No really. I love it here!!!
We found a new little Gem on Friday! We were lucky enough to Have Aphra's BFF from Manitoba here visiting her Family and they made arrangements to get together. And this would also be a reminder if there is a certain friend of Corbin's who is also out in this neck of the woods visiting his Grandma, I hope he too could come visit us!!!! Baely??!! And really anyone else, we LOVE visitors!!!
So I thought it would be neat to try out Boundary Bay. When we first arrived, the Tide was out. And it was all Sandy, and the water was way, Way,WAY out, leaving us forever to walk to it, and a messy beach in the mean time. So after I bribed the kids with an ice cream treat from the concession, off we headed to explore the Bay. After I got passed the sea weedy part. Things picked up. Especially when Dale came after work!!!
We saw jellyfish, and crabs and all sort of really neat stuff. The kids could go off in all directions, and explore. There were these really shallow tide pools that were warm water, and Kezia & Tirzah loved to play in and run through.
We are going to have to look into getting the kids skim board, as the boys loved to watch a group of kids skimming the tide pools.
We spent hours out exploring the tide pools. And eventually the tide started to come in. It would just kinda creep through the sand, and slowly filled in the bay. By the time we were done our BBQ hot Dogs, and playing at the Playground, the tide was in and the kids were ready to swim in the warm water.
It was a great way to spend an afternoon!
Aphra & Kelsey!!!
A Tide Pool, and a dog that scared my kids
Tide Pool
Mahlon, as the tide came in he would just Stand in one spot and let the water cover his feet!
Corbin, Aphra & Kelsey
Aphra & Kelsey taking their turn on the log.A make shift teeter totter. Dale & I sat on one end while the kids took turns walking up the elevated end and jumping into the water. This provided them and many onlookers endless entertainment!
Tirzah felt right at home digging in the Sand and getting filthy dirty!
Mahlon holding down the Log, and Corbin on the Other end.As you can imagine near the end this turned into a hysterical game of who could hurt the other more, but in this picture they look well behaved!!
Aphra making sure Dale & I won't stand up, sending her into the water.. who us??
Corbin could have done this all night, it was hard to get him in the car.
Our Little Kezia, all she wanted to do was swim, run through the water and throw Rocks into the Water!!!

I think that the skimm boards are what everyone uses here in Grand Beach, they do look like a lot of fun, our friends bought two and Steel has be kind enough to let Greg use his. The west coast really is just beautiful , I loved going there with James for work, I love all the little fish markets and being out in the ocean watching the killer whales was amazing. Your family is lucky to have such a peaceful place to go and just be together as a family. you guys are always finding little bits of heaven everywhere. And really have you ever had so many visitors?, I think every time I check out your blog you have family or friends out there seeing you having a party.
Remind me again why I live here, and not there? You are ALWAYS off having tons of fun as a family, I seriously love it Anne, and desperately wish I lived right next door to you!
What an awesome way to spend a summer Day! We will have to plan to be one of your visitors one of these days.
