It's been a while!

I have been ridiculously busy. Some Serious, but mostly Stupid stuff. Here's the Short list!

- I was booted out of Primary in June when the President decided to move to California. booooooooo. who needs sunshine? I was able to avoid a calling until the Fall, they are still getting used to my lazy dazy summers out here, and now I am the Enrichment Councilor in Relief Society. The jury is out on that.

- Aphra started Seminary. I have to be at the Church at 6:45am, but in order to get there and pick up the stragglers, I have to be up at 6 am. It doesn't agree with me. Ugggh to all those release time students.

- I found this quote:

Living the Gospel requires sacrifices. One of the sacrifices of living the Gospel is financial, One cannot expect to acquire adequate food storage, have the mother stay at home, have large families, pay all tithes and offerings, send children on missions, all while enjoying a higher standard of living.
- Which will prevail in my home?

So I am now readjusting my life!!!! I have been distracted by the West Coast Lifestyle, It was fun while it lasted, but this is a wake up call!!! And now And if you thought I was cheap before... yikes! cause now I am an animal!

-I have secretly been crafting. I am learning to knit, and have taken up crocheting again (on a very simple level) I have made the girls twirly skirts! Thanks Korby for the inspiration!!! And I am resisting the urge to make Hair bows! it is taking everything I have to stop myself. I may break down and Buy a glue gun! then you know hell has frozen over.

- I am News obsessed. Here is my favorite story right now (and possible talking points for your lunch break):

ClimateGate: or this.

I love a good undigging!!!

-I am missing Winnipeg. Ugh. well not the weather or the place itself, but I am missing all my friends. I even announced that I was ready to go back a few weeks ago. I heart Dalhousie Ward!

- I have also realized that I am WAY uptight. I doubt I will ever adapt the west coast attitude. I probibly should I'll probibly live longer.

- Dale brought to my attention last night just how Awesome Aphra is. He is right, and I dont give her enough credit. She is awesome.

Hopefully I will have something equally exciting tomorrow! no, really I am considering this exciting!

Hey, I TOTALLY thought this was an exciting post. And thank you for more info on the climategate stuff, it has been so fascinating to read more about it. And we knew Aphra was awesome. In fact Ciel was just saying how she hoped to be able to hang out with her again soon, she had the best time with her when you were here visiting. So excited to hear about your crafting! I am up to my elbows in it too, it's just so fun!!! Although I am a terrible knitter, I still keep trying. Not that perseverance will make anything I knit look halfway decent unfortunately.

I am SOOO ready for you to move back to Winnipeg. And having been in Regina the past 2 days & getting home just moments ago, Winnipeg is downright the tropics compared to Regina!

Love, Cathy Finken

Wow, I haven't checked your blog in ages, but I'm glad to see you haven't died or anything :)

Love the quote, but now I'm feeling guilty about my lack of food storage. Thanks a lot Anne. *grumble*

Does your desire to move have anything to do with your new calling? I was RS pres. for a few years and that was enough to make me want to look for employment for Jason elsewhere. It didn't work, but this summer I got a calling I can honestly say I love. The Lord does love me after all, haha.

Merry Christmas!
