Things that happened in a matter of 30min:
Our treat was served first... Mahlon couldn't wait to make floats!
Corbin will probably receive a black eye due to the dance pad that was thrown at him while looking for rope to tie him to a chair for "lying". (daddy's object lesson)
And two girls crying because... Well I can't remember. But they were loud.
But the best part was when Dale looked at me and jokingly asked who was in control of this house? And like a lightening bolt I was jolted back into Reality. Gone is the pregnant, tired, nice Mom. The one who ran the house by soft persuasion. Which was an epic fail.
Amazingly, as the older kids went to bed they expressed their relief that the old Mom was back. I wished the softer Anne had worked out. But my job is to train these kids so they will eventually move out and enjoy life on their own!
