About 108Km from my house...

Part of the Cascade Range...

About 108Km from my house...

Last erupted in 1880...

Did I mention 108 Km from my house????!!!!

Mahlon brought home a book from School about Volcano's. So I thought It would be pretty cool to take him one weekend to Mt Helen's in South West Washington to see a Volcano. I must admit I would like to see a volcano as well. So I was looking up on the Internet... And apparently I have seen a Volcano, and it's 108 KM from my house. Mount Baker. I see it all the time!!!!You can see it if you are elevated enough to see over the trees and if the sky is clear. Seriously a Volcano. I am not surprised as it is Ginormous!!! I see it all the time. So I am slightly freaked out. Mahlon on the other hand is excited and can't wait until tomorrow so we can drive 30 seconds rather than 5 hours to see it. providing it is a clear day.
