One of the highlights this Summer was our stop in Southern Alberta to see the Courts. I haven't seen my BFF since November when I left Winnipeg. So we drove to Angela's parents house, where the Taylors Invaded! And her Parents were very nice about it! We arrived late Wednesday night, as we had the whole car battery problem(we also stopped in Calgary to buy a new camera at Costco, my new place to buy all things electronic as they have a great return policy) So we arrived Chatted, hugged, and I cried. I have yet to break Angela! And then we got ready for bed, We tried to wake Nolan & Jarom when we got there but they we Sleeping, and not to be stirred! So we put our kids to bed, and just as we were heading to bed Corbin came out and THREW UP on the living room Carpet. So we cleaned that up, and headed to bed, after Angela guarded the door so we couldn't leave from embarrassment.

The next Day was APHRA's 12th Birthday!

I still can't believe she is 12. She is just getting so grown up! So we made plans to go to the Cardston Temple to do Baptisms. Those not of the LDS Faith can link here for info, While I served in Young Womens I was able to take my Young Women to the Temple to do baptisms, and I always looked forward to the day when I could take my kids. And it was a wonderful experience to go with Aphra. I'm thankful for the priesthood, and the covenants that are made in the temple. I'm thankful to know that Families can be forever, and I'm not just hopeful. We were also able to share the day with Angela and my cousin Dallin.
Other Funstuff we did with the Courts was hiking Red Rock Canyon, okay Ang & I stayed behind with Tirzah, as the rest froze in the water. And I didn't think too much of it until an older Gentleman said as we watched Dale & Spencer disappear around the corner"I don't know if I would take a baby up there..." I'm such a good mom. After they all safely returned, we went for ice Cream! not a bad day.
We also played at Ang's Parents house. We had an awesome water balloon fight!!

They have a pool and horses! It was a fun vacation!

Angela's sisters Rachel and Patrice were also there, and we played with them as well. The only thing missing was Angela's brother Shane. And I use the term missing very very lightly.

Yehhhhhh! We had so much fun with you guys! Thanks so much for coming to see us. I love the picture with the kids in the tent. Next year it's your parents house! Haydens beware.
You are very brave. I tried to convince Gary to let me leave baby Gray with my mom while we drove an hour and a half away for our vacation so we would only have the two older children. You're making all the rest of us moms look bad. ;)
I can't believe Aphra is 12 - I remember her first coming into Activity Day night. Amazing how she got older but we didn't....And I am so excited that she got to go to the temple. What a wonderul birthday gift. Angela's parents house has everything for a great vacation. Do they take reservations?
Thanks for adding that extra picture of me and you. It's a good one. I love it. I'm so happy everyone gets to see it.
I've heard that your trip was a HUGH!!!!!! highlight of the summer. How fun to get to spend time with the people that you love. Imso happy for both families. I love all the boys in their tent very cute!
So much fun! And you win for "Best Mom of the Year" for sure! I am hesitant to drive even 10 minutes to the store with a car load of children, much less hours!
Oh, Annie...
I wasn't missing at all.I know that you carried me with you deep inside your heart. Like a parasitic worm that burrows into the cardiac muscles and slowly weakens its host creature to the point of death.
I mean...
...like a warm realization of the true meaning of Christmas, which made your heart grow three sizes that day. And gave you the strength of TEN Annies...
plus two.
Shane... I wouldn't go as far as to describe you "Like a parasitic worm", but if that's how you see yourself...
Thanks for the memories...I'm still trying to find a place that will erase them from my mind.
=P
