I don't Remember the Dentist like this

When I was a kid The Dentist came to the school. There was a dentist's office in every school, and when you least expected it they would come to your class, pull you out, and then either pull out your teeth or fill your Cavities, then send you back. I remember it clearly. This was both good and bad. Good because it got you out of class, Yeah!! But Bad because they are either taking your teeth or filling them, boo!!

I am traumatized by the pink pills to show the "sugar bugs" the long needles to freeze your mouth, the flouride treatments, where they stuck large foamies in your mouth and tell you not to swallow, and just generally the unpleasant smell. oh yeah and I rember taking my extracted tooth home for the tooth fairy to replace with a quarter. totally worth it. not.

They eventualy took the Dentists out of the school and we had to go to real office.

Today I took Mahlon to our new dentist.

It's all good now. You can watch TV, or surf the web.

There was no terror, no begging not to go, no freak outs, not one tear dropped.

He jumped in the Chair, watched tv, boom All done!

It's good to be 6!

My kids LOVE going to the dentist. They love the television, Fish tank full of Finding Nemo look a likes, prizes afterward, the super nice dental assistants, and their favorite is the huge toy store located downstairs from the dentist. I always let them play and look at all the toys after their check-ups and they still love going even though I never buy them any toys.
