Road Trip

Melissa & her Husband Steve!

Aphra & I returned Saturday night from our trip to Cardston for Melissa's wedding. It was a LONG trip. I decided to go through the states taking I-90 through Washington State, the top of Idaho, and then into Montana. Then head up back in to Canada.

Even after being questioned by Customs Agents on both sides of the border every time I crossed, as to how My husband can afford his car & our kids (NO, I'M NOT DRUG RUNNER!) how long I was planning to stay in Canada for (Hello!! I LIVE HERE!!!), and wondering why I was in the middle of nowhere, and then wondering if I or the bride partied hard at the wedding(NOT THAT KIND OF WEDDING!!). Regardless, it was so worth going that way.

We took 2 days getting there. Leaving late morning and staying overnight in a less than spectacular accommodation's in Superior Montana. but it was $50/ night!! awesome! and gas was never more $1/liter after conversion! much better than $1.30.

We had 4 mountain passes on our way there, one in total blackness. But that was due to the fact that we stopped at pretty much every Target on our way. But once we were in Cardston they clued us in to a better way to get back and It was!!

I was able to go to the Temple with Melissa and her family Thursday night, and then attend the sealing Friday Morning. It was so wonderful to meet her husband, they are perfect for each other! It was a wonderful weekend!

While in Cardston, I was able to hang with my Auntie Patti! I love her! She is the best. We went to Grandma's apartment, the bookstore, and we went Garage Sale Shopping for Grandma's new Apartment(I'll post after) She also entertained Aphra while I was at the Temple with Melissa. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!

And then we headed back early Saturday, with our new route, through Crowsnest pass, down to Couer d'Alene, Idaho. It was perfect, super quick, 13hours quick. but the roads were good! And we only stopped at one Target.

Dale did awesome with the Kids, and Tirzah was able to hold off of any liquid until I returned home. I'm not taking any responsibility for her stubbornness.

We were a little surprised to pass this snow park...
