When we were in SLC we decided to have an Adult night out, so we did it big!! Steven & Samantha suggested The Roof Restaurant. It is right next to the Salt Lake City Temple, in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building! So it was a perfect night out! We Started with a session at the Salt Lake Temple, which was beautiful, and wonderful. I am a Church History Junkie, and I was just in awe. It really was a highlight of my trip.

After our session we went for dinner at The Roof. It was awesome. It was a buffet, a high end buffet. We were with the Van Wagenens so they let us in. Samantha and I had a game plan, at at $35 a plate(don't even convert that into CAD). we weren't waisting our portion on salad. Boring! The Chef who was manning the Prime Rib(my new best Friend!) Said" This is a first, I've never seen the men go for the salad, and the women the meat" he didn't know we had a well worked out plan!

I enjoyed 2 helpings of prime rib, also pork tenderloin, chicken breast, and ham. I even did a little taste testing of the seafood crepes. I didn't enjoy it, but I tried it. And then we hit the dessert table. This is where they lost their money that night. we sampled from everything, although I refused anything with fruit, unless it was combined with chocolate, my exception.Any dessert that has fruit really should be classified as a side dish.

The food was great but the company was even better! And we even lucked out with the best table in the House, who doesn't want to have dinner with Moroni?!!

And as a Side note this night was also our 14 year anniversary. It couldn't have been anymore perfect, a date at the temple and a wonderful dinner with the Most wonderful husband EVER. I feel blessed everyday that we are in this together. And that we seek after the same things, and that we have the same priorities and hold them dear to us. No matter what or where life has brought us, we have faced it together and it has been a wonderful journey so far.
14 years down and an eternity to go!!

Families are Forever!
