The Homeless Have Arrived...

Well we are homeless and have found refuge at a very nice shelter. We left Manitoba Thursday night almost as planned. Dale decided to leave and drive with us to Regina where we would maybe go in seperate directions, depending on the route he decided to take. Anyhow back to Thursday, Our Packers came and packed up the UHaul, a 26 foot Uhaul. It was the Biggest Truck we could get and It is massive. Dale has the camera with him so I can't show you. It took them, 2 guys, 4 hours to pack the truck, they did it so well, It was so worth every penny. I was so thrilled with them loading the truck I would have have paid almost anything. When we moved to Manitoba we have teh moving company pack the House and then move us, We submitted the Bill and then they Paid, But Fed Ex just wrote us a check and we could do what we wanted with it, So I am so thrifty I did it myself for about the 1/4 of what it would have cost us other wise. Anyway, So dale left with us and we drove to Brandon. We stopped in Carberry for a quick visit with Dales Mom who was visiting Dales Grandma. We stayed the night at the Super 8 in Brandon, We all squished into a room, but we were all so tired we didn't care except kezia who was annoyed she had to share a bed and therefore kept us up very late. And I think the continental breakfasts just keep getting better, they had waffle machines you could make waffles, so we got pumped full of sugar and headed out, As I watched Dale drive down the Highway with all my worldly possessions in the van I just kept saying to myself "what are we doing?!"

Anyway, Dale and Dillon, his buddy who was driving out to BC with Him. who he picked up in Regina at the airport, decided to drive through Calgary as Edmonton had recieved Tons of Snow. Apparently their plan was to spend the night in Calgary and head through the mountains Saturday, well when I phoned them at 10am this morning they had driven through the night and slept a while in the van after breakfast this morning, and were approaching Revelstoke as I called. So it is official we are Crazy!!

They have plans of stopping at the Hot Springs later today and get a good night rest for their last leg of their trip before they have to unload the Van. They said the roads were good, and that they were glad the traveled at night as there was less traffic which made it a better trip for them.

Well, that is all the fun we are having.

Signing Out,
Homeless In Saskatoon!!!!
