Watch Out Vancouver the Taylor's Have Arrived!!!

After A Cool 11 Hours from Edmonton We arrived in Langley, where we are staying for a few nights until we get into our house.

The drive was okay, long, snowy but all and all it was okay. Dale flew to Edmonton Saturday Morning to meet us and drive us back. It was nice that he did as most of the roads were very snowy. It's about 16 hours from Saskatoon to Edmonton, hopefully we can make better time in the summer.

We were able to get the keys for our house last night, and we cleaned to carpets, as they had a cat & a dog. Sorry to all you pet lovers, but there was hair everywhere, it was gross. It will be a few days of scrubbing. But all & all very pleased with the house. It will take some getting used to all the houses in the neighbourhood as it is crowded but like everyone says"Welcome to Vancouver" its just a little different, but it will be great! We are off today to ikea to get some new curtains, then a few more things we need. we are living with limited furniture until Saturday, but I think we will try to paint some bedrooms. THe kids seem to like the house, and staked out their rooms. Although they think they should get the big room with the ensuite, and Aphra wants the Walk in Closet. Yeah Right.

We are off swimming. we check out in afew hours, bye bye Internet!! so until I get my internet hooked up!! Just know that we are doing okay!!

Ohh incase you were wondering the weather the past few days has been nice & mild, around 5 degrees, it was 9 degrees when we arrived Sunday Night!! Like I said, We are doing great!!!!

Wow, that was quite a drive, so glad you made it without any trouble. Can't wait to see pics of you guys all moved in. And I understand about the pet hair thing. Our dog is the littlest and lowest shedding dog we could find since I hate dog hair everywhere, and she also doesn't have the run of the house. We love little Lucy, but she doesn't get to spread the "dog hair love" all over my house. Eww! I can't stand the thought of letting my babies play on the floor if they are layered in pet hair. Not going to happen.

Im so glad to hear that you all got there Ok, Have the kids all started at their new schools.Such an adventure how exciting for you all. Good luck unpacking and hope your feeling better. I remember shampooing the carpet here when we moved in and all the cat hair. I think the smell of the wet hair was worse tehn how much we took out on our first round with the shampoo. I think it took James three times around before we saw a differance. So my heart is with you. Hopefully the worst part of cleaning the house was that. Keep us updated it so nice to see how you are doing.Take care

Looks nice and cold up there. We still haven't gotten that much snow yet here. A little but not much. Good luck with moving and getting settled in your house.

My goodness I miss you, but alas, life carries on. I visited with Angela today & she told me about the weather you are enjoying. It sounds like life is going to well & the Taylors are happy. Good to hear. Love, Cathy Finken
