Tuesday Blah's

I’m a happy 37 weeks. Okay happy is an over statement, okay a down right lie. Pregnancy has never been much of an issue, but this time I am D-O-N-E. Done. So I have 3 weeks left plus any overtime… As Angela says” I’m tired and the boundaries are down”, so come sit by me!!!

This past weekend was a write off as Dale and Kezia combined forces and have given me a gift, a cold. A cough from Dale and a head cold from Kezia. Thank You, I will return the favour. I spent the weekend in bed, Dale took the Boys to Spider Man 3, which I am thrilled about because now we don’t have to watch every S3 commercial as if it is about to spontaneously burst into the movie. And while they were at the movie I watch my 4 hour PBS documentary The Mormons. I liked it, but I am a crazy church History Buff. I don’t know if I would actually encourage anyone not familiar with the LDS Church to watch it, only because it kinda skims across certain things, and seems to misrepresent certain things, but the Faith is much richer and deeper than what it can give in 4 hours. Any how, I liked it from my perspective, but I didn’t buy into a lot of the opinions of the scholars. I have nothing profound to say, but on beliefs I liked what Cousin Amy Says… I’ll direct you to her!

I am posting some pictures from last weekend; we took the ferry over to Fort Langley. We have no bridge to get across the river yet, they are building a toll bridge, and you can pay $3.50 one way to cross. The wait is long for the ferry so we thought we would walk into Fort Langley, which was fun. It’s a quaint little main street with various little shops. So anyone who comes to visit will get to do the trip!!!

So we thought we left the flooding behind in Manitoba. Not true. We are busy here preparing for a 70 year flood. Nice. The one nice thing about Winnipeg is they are prepared. Here not so much. It basically sounds like I could be stranded in my community. The sad part is I didn’t bring much of a food storage, as Moving it wasn’t much of an option. But I found out yesterday there is a cannery here, so a few of the girls from church have invited me along to do some canning with them. I am sooooo cool. So now we are stocking up on water, food and basic supplies. At least Dale has a place to stay close to work if needs be. It’s all to do with the mountain run off, if it stays cool enough and the snow melts slowly we will be okay, but if it is nice, and it’s a quick melt we are in trouble.

Nothing exciting coming up except Mahlon’s 6th Birthday this weekend! That’s if we don’t cancel it due to bad behaviour. Like that would happen. Oh his, not mine.

This is video of Mahlon who is obsessed with trains. While we were in town there were a few trains that passed through, and Mahlon tried to negotiate to stop and watch them all. But luckily while we were at the train station a train came through.. some things maybe better at a distance...

I haven't seen "The Mormons" yet but I will be sure to check it out now. I first heard about it from you, then Amy, then my Mother-in-law and finally, Heather.

I loved watching Mahlon & Corbin watching the train. If you really want to freak Mahlon out take him to New York & ride the subway....

So fun! Hey, how are you feeling? Any closer to the baby making a long awaitied appearance? I wish I had easier pregnancies, otherwise I would have another one in a heartbeat, but I don't think I (or my husband and children) can do it again. This last pregnancy was too hard. Finley is such a good and easy baby, I am just enjoying this time, and trying to forget the pregnancy part.-Heather
