I Am Blessed!

Snailmail is not very exciting anymore. It was when I was a teenager

(before IM, facebook, Email) that's how I communicated with my long distance friends. Occasionally I would get a brightly colored envelope from a far away friend, usually proclaiming their lovE for me for all of Canada Post to Know! And Vice Versa!

Now all that seems to grace the mailbox is bills, and boring notices.

And unfortunately, for Dale, those are given directly to Dale.

But every now and then, a little something something exciting appears!

I am blessed because I get the exciting things (like, Baby Announcements

and Christmas Cards) and I get to hand over the bills to Dale.

And yesterday I received 2 exciting things! and the excitement rolled into two days

(I had to wait until today to pick up the package!)

First, I received Rachel's Wedding Invitation.


Rachel is one of My BFF's (Angela) little Sisters And who wouldn't love her! She is smart & funny and down to earth, and I have tons of fun memories(the Forks, cleaning our ears!!) with her. I seemed to bombard my way into her visits with Angela when ever she would come to Winnipeg. I truly love Rachel!!! Plus she is super cute! and If I didn't love her a ton, I would be extremely jealous, boo to the pretty girls!! Anyway, It made me super happy to receive her Wedding invite in the mail! I just Hope this Paul guy is good enough for her, which I am sure he is, But he better watch it! (It's official: You're on notice!!)

Then, I had to wait a day, but I went and redeemed my Canada Post slip for a yellow Envelope full of goodies!!!

And after berating the Canada Post worker for making me go back to my vehicle to get my ID (oohhh sorry the berating part was in my mind, I was all smiles! ), I came home and opened it to find some goodies All for me! Chocolates that I won fair & square from Angela's blog, A beautiful zip bag, that Angela made , she is so crafty! And a ribbon wand!! okay fine the ribbon wand probably wasn't for me, but since I am the supreme benefactor of Kezia running off to play with it, Totally for me!

My proposition is to try to use snail mail more often!
