Anyhow, now that we have all this snow, it's warming up and starting to melt. So I got out there today and did some shoveling, When the snow comes down it is beautiful, all light and airy. Not so much when it melts. It is like shoveling a Slurpee, but not nearly as delicious looking.
Anyway, I am done with the snow. They don't have the budget here for proper snow removal, and never mind no one knows how to drive in it. The main roads are pretty well cleared, it's just all the side streets that have on single lane of slushy ruts to drive in. We are lucky my SUV is 4X4 and Dales car is AWD so we are good to go! So driving through all the slushy ruts isn't much of a problem. I sure wish I had 4X4 in Manitoba.
I have taken a few pictures around town here, but they won't mean much to anyone, but keep in mind everything here is usually lush and very green, and in Victoria, plants are starting to bloom. It's not California by any stretch of the imagination. But around here they haven't seen this much snow, and have it stick around in 40years.

Very nice shovelling! You should check out mine :)
This town is driving me crazy with its cluelessness to snow removal. Finally the one thing I miss about living in areas that actually deal with winter yearly - effective snow removal AND drivers that know how to drive in it!!
