Kezia Princess Quilt

I decided a few weeks before Christmas to go ahead and start a quilt for Kezia. It all started when I saw Princess Print material at Walmart USA for $4/yard. and I also bought the backing there for $4/ yard. It was too good to pass up. She was out growing her Baby quilt.
I did splurge on the Pink white & blue squares. As I was picking out the fabric at my new(to me) snotty quilting store, I was told very clearly that my WalMart material is less than sub standard, and I was questioned if I had plans to wash it(duh, it's for my 3year old)?? and that it just wouldn't last as long as the obviously superior quilting fabric they could provide. Not deterred by the fact that I was making the quilt around the princesses, she was quite persistent, and not impressed that I brought the Walmart Material into her store and I think she maybe was worried we may infect her bolts with Walmart Cooties.

okay maybe I am exaggerating at the end.

But The princess quilt seems to be holding up quite well despite being dragged around the house, and being used for a dance floor.

I also received some help from Grandma Taylor who was kind enough to help cut and press for me. So helpful!! Thank you!!
