I was so excited when we moved here that I was in driving distance of Ikea(25min now 16 hours before!), which at our (Kids & me)first trip, no map, I got ourselves a little lost(I should mention that Dale had nothing to do with my directional driving, he has soem funky built in GPS, with a weird sense of direction, meaning he always knows where he is!!).
Anyways, we bought a few things from there, our eat-in kitchen table, computer chair, some stuff, but I wasn't overly thrilled for some reason, but yesterday I took the Mahlon & Kezia and we went in search of a bookshelf!! Well I am happy to report that I picked up a Bookshelf and a side table, and for some reason I am beyond completely thrilled!!! I love Ikea!!! Kezia also got a tiny tent to play in! I still need some accessories for my living room, but I am thrilled how it is coming together! I figured out that Dale and I haven't bought anything new for over 13 years, all our furniture has been hand me downs, mostly because of the kids, I won't list off all the ways they have wrecked even that furniture, nail polish, zinc oxide, various writing tools, using the couch as a trampoline, picking it apart, etc...

We also stopped at the resturant for lunch, highly recommended!!! It was so cheap, And it was pretty good, not the greatest, but you get better than what you paid for!! make sense??? I had a pasta combo: penne pasta with sauce, salad, 2 pieces of garlic toast, and a drink $3.99!!! We had a nice afternoon at Ikea, and yes we have utilized the play area with Mahlon, which we will do again and go for dinner at the resturant!! is that wrong??!!
Also this morning I gave Kezia a hair cut... no more mullet.
It just needed to be cut in the back, and the front needed to be cut so it wasn't in her eyes. so I stuck her in front of the mirror, gave her some "dangerous" stuff to play with, and hoped for the best, and I think she looks pretty cute(as always!!)!! I hate cutting off the baby hair, but it had to be done!!
And finally, For Christmas this Year My Grandma gave me this book of poems relating to motherhood by Hal Sirowitz. It is pretty interesting, some of them were square on, I am going to post a few over on the right!!!----> Check it out!

I Love your furniture. We have very similar/the same taste. Kezia is darling I think her hair looks great it looks so thick and shiny.
I LOVE IKEA TOO. It has been over 3 years since I stepped foot inside one. I am so excited that one is going up in Sandy. I can hardly wait to go.
It has been awhile since I have been able to get back into bloging but it is nice to see and hear about how our Canadian Family is doing.
Maybe one of these years I will even be able to meet you and your family. Til them thank heavens for the blog. Korby(Scott's wife)
By the way let me know how the digital scrapbooking goes. I am SO FAR behind. I wanted to get some computer scrapbooking stuff but have no idea what to get or where to start. Thanks Korby
When Mark and I were first married we had our furniture priorites all right when we had a tv before a couch. We would sit on the floor and watch tv. Sad, but true. Dont tell me all those things about kids and couches, I like to think Wellington and our other kids will be angels and never mess up or spill anything on our couches.
