When I was a student this was the song that rang through my head, and often escaped my lips. Well I have a new tune, and it's not so happy.
I have survived the first day of my kids being home. Survived would be pushing it. This whole close quarter living may throw me over the edge. What once was a 2:30- 7:00pm problem looks like it will be a 9am-10pm problem. There are sooooo many kids!! and when Corbin has his friends here and then Mahlon shows up with his.The door bell honestly is constantly ringing! It's just not looking good? How many weeks until school starts again??!!
Well Dale has taken Shelby, Aphra, & Corbin on an overnight hike. It's raining just to make things interesting, and I am not sure how excited how 3 out the 4 are about going. They are Camping on a beach and they can go swimming, so that was intriguing to them, It will be a good tale to tell tomorrow!!

Now the opinion of she who only lives with one child at home (my husband, who will never turn 18 & move away from home)is thinking of the positive side that YOURS is the house that all the children are congregating to (and I am sure it feels like a congregation). This is actually a good thing of sorts in that you know where your children are & what they are doing. You will be able to provide a wonderful influence on your children's friends & all kinds of positive things can result. (You think I've been in Primary too long?) And if they spend enough time at your home & eat your food you can send their parents a daycare provider's bill......
Will be interested in hearing how the camp-out at the beach went. Funny you should mention it as this morning I was thinking about a trip to Hawaii that I took with friends many moons ago. We were at the beach so that some could learn how to scuba-dive but all made a mad dash to the car when the skies opened up & it downpoured. Afterall, who wants to get wet at the beach?
When does school start for you guys? Ours ends the first week of June, and school starts August 20 something each year. I heard that the governor is puchinf for year rowund school, which I DO NOT want at all. Yuck, I prefer my summers off! Who wants their summer cut up into blocks, and having to go to school in July? Obviously not me. Hope that sweet little Tirza is doing well! How are you holding up Anne? Your kids always look so cute in the pictures, I can't believe how big they are since I saw them so long ago. I know, time passes and kids grow, but it doesn't seem like it's been 8 years since I last saw you. -Heather
