I am still recovering form my Candy Hangover.. Seriously who eats candy up to Halloween, and then enjoys a bigger variety from the kids bags.... gotta love it!!
We had a very busy day, I took the two girls to Bellingham Washington to get some Groceries in the Morning, and I came back with a 7LBS All American Chocolate Cake from Costco. It tastes as good as it sounds. Although due to the extreme amount of chocolate from Halloween I still have some cake left. Well actually the whole cake minus a sliver. But it's calling my name this morning!!!
Aphra & Corbin both went with their Friends this year, and they had a great time. I took Mahlon & Kezia out while Dale stayed at home with Tirzah to hand out Candy to close to 300 kids. It was crazy. We ran out of Candy, and they just kept coming, and ringing the bell. ahhh yeah, VERY annoying. There were just tons of people on the street, and Mahlon kept taking off on Me. Once he lost me, but luckily Mahlon knows EVERYONE, and someone brought him back to me. so embarrassing.

And Kezia Was a trooper, after I held her down, put her hair in pigtails, and shoved her costume on over her sweater....
Okay a quick moment here to say It is so nice to be able to leisurely trick or treat with out FREEZING. There wasn't the impending will there be snow on Halloween??? Back on the prairies it wasn't unusual to have a nice Halloween night, but if Mother Nature wanted she could make it Miserable!!...
And got Kezia outside and distracted with Candy before she could undo all my work!! The only thing she sat still for was the face painting, but only because she saw Corbin & Mahlon first.
And she loved Trick or Treating!!! She went to each door and eventually started saying "Trick or Treat" Seriously it was soo cute!! I would try to put some of her Candy in my pocket, just to "lighten" her bucket, but she would get mad, so she hauled a bucket as big as her for most of the way!!!
Where are Aphie & Corbin???.. no idea, they couldn't get to the candy fast enough.. I painted Corbins Face, and he was gone before I put down the paint.
Once I took Kezia and brought her home I took Corbin & Mahlon to do get some Loot! They lasted not too long(5 houses) before they were like "CAn this be the Last House?? Pleasssssse??" And for a while I was like "No, keep going!" They eventually wore me down, you can only listen to that for so long...
So we came home and I dutifully confiscated all the "suspicious" candy.
All day we saw people dressed up, so I would say "Spooky!!" becasue Kezia was pretty unsure. So She started saying "spooky!", so now everything to do with Halloween is "spooky!" even her Candy!

WooooHooo!! I get to be the first to write!!! So I'm going to make it nice and long! All I have to say is Halloween is such an odd holiday tradition.
"Yes kid, go to that stranger's house and beg for some candy and Yes It's o.k. to eat a ton of it- even if it makes you sick- it's totally o.k!" IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!
Can you believe Mahlon and Carter were twins!!! I couldn't get Carter to take the teeth out all day. I have to say I was waiting to see what Aphra and Corbin were dressed up as as well. I will get my pics posted soon. Now... go and enjoy some more candy that you stole from your kids bag!
