my name is Anne, and I am obsessive.

This won't be much of a confession for those of you know me. I have an obsessive nature. But I know where i get it from, thanks Dad!! My Dad has been looking for these Ski bindings (All greek to me) and he was asking if I(??) could find them out here for him, but Dale took the Initiative and found them for him in Washington State. So last night we headed down there!! Yeah fun! I often go but last night we got to use our new passports! (Thanks Bishop Cormack, who took a grilling from the Canada Passport people) And Dale came with, I usually go during the day while he is at work.

back to the bindings...

So we found them at a great price in Washington , so off we went!! And Mission Accomplished!!

Next Mission:
A long time ago when Dale & I went to Nauvoo/Chicago, we stayed in a B&B and at night they served dessert with Italian soda's! We fell in love with the soda's. they were simply Torani syrup, with club soda & ice!! but they have the neatest flavors
such as Raspberry, Strawberry, Grape, Classic Root beer, Lime, Kiwi, Pink Grapefruit, Mango, Cherry, and Lots more!!

When we got back from our Illinois trip, we found them at an Italian Market for $10 a bottle. So we slowly stocked up! And then we we moved here I found a store in town that sold them for $12 a bottle, and $4 for a tiny bottle. Then Leanne, from Dales Office, clued us in to a restaurant Supply store in Bellingham WA, for get this, and I am serious $3.66 a bottle. Can you sense my excitement??

So Last night after the bindings, We stoped at the "cash & Carry" and I was like a kid in a candy store, as they have a whole isle of syrup, And i restrained myself to just 11 bottles. I am still giddy!!!

So this is a perfect mix of my Fathers obsessiveness, and my mothers Thriftiness!!! I am going to spend my Day taste testing my Spoils!! Yeah!!

And Dad only 10 more sleeps until you get your Bindings!!! And Mom only 10 more sleeps until you see ME!!!

To sum it up- Dad here are your bindings.. Hope they are the right ones, and Angela, come to Party Night!!!

My Dad also passed on some obssessive compulsions to me and my siblings. But I was also lucky enough to get my Mom's thrifty ways too so I hope they balance each other out somewhat.
And my parents love those Italian syrups too, they were raving about them to me, but I have yet to try them. I know, I need to get out more.

I love those syrups. I have only ever put them in warm milk or milkshakes. The sodas sound awesome. How much do you put in one glass?

Anne,
I am honored to make it into your blog. I saw how you make the soda's but I have a slight twist that you might like.
We use a shot of the Torani Syrup(usually orange or raspberrry) and then a dash of the Vanilla Torani. Add equal parts of half and half. Then ice and soda. Yummy.

Larita- Oh yeah! it's only 10 hours, totaly do-able! but thats okay we may bring the party to you in May!! For Melissa's wedding! whoot whoot!!

Leanne-
No, Thank YOu!! We are having tons of fun with our Syrup!!

I am loving the recipe pages on the torani web site! I made hot milk steamers last night, i used Milk, a bit of half & half, a dash of real vanilla(until I can get teh syrup!!)and then a slpash of Butter rum syrup. I wisked it up all nice and foamy, then I served it with cool whip & topped it with chocolate fudge sauce!!

I will try your sugesstion tonight, I am a little reluctant to try with the cold milk, but I am going to go for it!!

I am totally chomping at the bit to go back and get more of the steamer flavors!! Thanks again Leanne, dale may not BUT I DO!!!
