Yes, Yet Another!!!

Okay, this will be the last one today, but I am just waiting for My Podcasts to Download, and I thought I could Blog about My Favorite thing.

I remember when Ipods first came out. They were super expensive, and for what a glorified walkman??

Boy has my tune changed. I love my Ipod, No really, I LOVE it!! I would marry it if I could. just joking.

Well First off I have the new Nano, 8GB. I actually could use more memory, but that is another story. The new Nano's are video capable, so you watch videos, movies, video podcasts. And this is the difference for me!

But I love how it is so tiny, and yet the screen is viewable. Give me a few years, I'll turn into my Mother... "Aphra, get me my glasses!!"

But what I love are Podcasts. Everyday I update my Itunes and load up my Ipod. I used to go to bed watching the news, but the TV bothered Dale(Mr BooHoo my Alarm goes off at 4:30am), but now I just turn on my Ipod, and slip away in to LaLa Land. And yes I often wake up tangled in my ear phones.

My Favorite to listen to are Bill O'Reily talking points, Just my apprehension about admitting to that says tons. But I love him!!

Anderson Cooper 360. It's a video podcast, as opposed to an audio. Who doesn't want t spend as much time with AC as you possible could. Its more like a conversation with him rather than stuffy old news journalist. And his tone and demeanor aren't Saturated by his opinion, He can ask a question that the other person isn't afraid of answering. very rare.

Quick & Dirty Tips: this includes grammar girl(I obviously haven't learned very much if you read these closely) but It is interesting to listen to it from a Canadian point of view she often refers to British grammar, which includes us. Also Legal Lad, now I know what to do if I am pulled over for suspicion of DUI, also how to deal with a Hostile Witness, and with 5 kids, that comes in handy in so many different ways. Mighty Mommy, Get it done guy, & Mr Manners are a few others in that series. Well worth time spent listening.

I am also falling head over heels for Hardball with Chris Matthews, man he is tough. I don't know anyone would go on that show, he will rip you apart if you so much as stop to breathe... but I don't find him one sided. Unless maybe I'm on his side then obviously I wouldn't.

I have also found the Sunday News Shows: Face the Nation, Meet the Press.

I am in News Heaven. And since I am slave to the US Primaries right now, It comes in very handy!! Although there is nothing scarier than waking up to Mike Huckabee, seriously I would rather have Freddy Kruger whispering in my ear.

You can also get CBC Radio CBC News Programs, which if I was an American I may take a good look at, It is very different from the American style of News, often on the same subject. Not often as flashy, but informative. As Mr O'Reilly would put it A real "Spin Free Zone". My fave CBC Radio is Quirks & Quarks, Definately Not The Opera, and CBC News is the Hour.

And there is also tons of Church stuff as well, My Favorites are the Book of Mormon and the Doctrine & Covenants Round Table Discussions. You can also get the Ensign and Conference, Tons of stuff if you search around. I just dock it on my stereo and I am set for the day!!

I have gone back to Cousin Robbies Podcast Post and downloaded his suggestions, also Cousin Scotts suggestion for LibriVox. I am always on the look out for new things to listen to and welcome any suggestions!!

Well here is hoping that Dale will get sick of Itouch(which would double my memory), he can browse the internet on his toy, That would just be too much for me. I'm Happy to just covet in the mean time!

I don;t have an ipod, but I have fallen in love with my mp3 player. I'm not as cool as you Anne, I think I need to work on it some more...
At least you are current on the news, I keep missing it, I am constantly in a whirl at night trying to get everything done before I accidentally doze off somewhere in the house.
