Off to Oregon

This is the Bridge into Astoria, OR from Washington. It is huge. And quite a marvel.

We left Washington, sunny and a very promising 22 degrees.

As we drove towards Oregon, we noticed this ominous looking cloud, And sure enough when we pulled into the State Park it was directly above us. Sunny in Astoria, but cloudy & cold over us. you could see the end of the cloud, and sunny Astoria.
You can see Sunny Astoria, and the End of the Cloud

And that would be the theme of our week: Cold.

I was not prepared for Cold. Cool perhaps but not Super Windy Cold. Luckily there is a Costco about 10min away in Warrington. And there I discovered Fred Meyer. So we went and stocked up on warm socks & Jeans and Sweaters. I bought a $53 black construction workers Grade sweater that I paid full price for. I don't have a thought of regret.

Dale setting up the Tent on our little Itty bitty campsite. We reserved late so pickings were slim. We drove around and have a better Idea of where we would stay next time.

After we Set up Camp, we went to Explore the Beach... A Very Windy Beach.

Only Crazy People Vacation in Tsunami Danger Zones.

It was a hike to the Beaches.
I am standing on top looking down.. you have to hike it back up to get back to the car.

We couldn't keep Corbin out of the Sand. If he wasn't digging in it He was rolling in it.
