“Some babies get so furiously angry when they are frustrated that they cry and then hold their breath and turn blue. When this first happens, it's bound to scare the wits out of the parents. It seldom means anything except that the baby has that kind of temperament.”
Dr. Benjamin Spock
What does that mean??!! Now what am I in for? This I am not happy about.
I would like one child who does come with crazy problems. Oh maybe that was Aphra, I just didn’t appreciate her. Anyways, now I have a breath holder, well she doesn’t hold it, she just gets so mad that she can’t breathe in and then she passes out. The First time it happened was at Corbin’s cub car rally. She fell over bumped her head and she was mad, she screamed her high pitched scream, then her eyes rolled and she went limp, I wasn't really sure what to do. It just took a few moments until she came to. I kinda knew what it was, it just freaked me out.
But that was a few months ago, Then the other night she hurt herself again. Same thing: High pitched scream, eyes roll, limp body, and passes out, & blue lips. It took her a few seconds to come around again, but she did. Then again yesterday: hurts herself, high pitch screaming, eyes roll, limp body, blue lips, & passes out. Aphra was with me yesterday, all she can say is “She looks drunk”. great.
Apparently this is all harmless, but worries me is Dr Spock”It seldom means anything except that the baby has that kind of temperament” AHHHHH!!! That is the scary part. In 10 years am I going to look back at this moment of time and say ”Oh yeah, her behavior makes sense, remember when she was a baby she would get so mad that she passed out, we should have know this is how she’d behave” Maybe it’s in the genetic mix up of Dale & me, Why can’t we have a have a nice simple, compliant child? Don’t misunderstand me, I love the challenges my kids bring me, but why so many, and why do they all have to have different ones. Like for instance when Corby was a toddler, he liked to take off his diaper and play with the things he found. Soooo grossss. Well eventually I figured out to duct tape it. HA! Now why can’t someone else have that problem? I wouldn’t spend anytime worried or freaking out over it. I’d go directly to Dales work bench. Grab the tape. Poof, done. Instead I get to feel inadequate at every new problem especially when people tell me “Oh she’s your fourth, you must find this easy” ummm no. It’s hard, it’s all hard. It’s great and I love every minute of it, but it is still hard work. But luckily the joys come in the learning, so eventually one day I can help with my grandkids. And I Can’t wait to load them full of sugar, then send them home!

I think the solution to your problem maybe to turn Kezia into the bubble girl. That way she won't be able to hurt herself; problem solved. Although I am a little interestest in seeing Kezia in action. Maybe and will have to arrange a little accident next time I get to babysit the little screamer.
