The Boys Working!
Again, not sure why Michael is in the Picture!
While my Dad was out here He built a deck off the back door. There was a small deck as the door is not at ground level. Considering that my Dad has built the Cabin (really a house) at the Lake by HIMSELF, I knew he could put up a Deck with his Eyes closed. And he did! And he did it mostly in the rain. but we have enjoyed the deck in the sunshine the past few days!
It is the most awesome deck EVER! We put the swing, the BBQ and Kezia's slide on the deck. I LOVE IT!! I just need to block off the side facing the Park, as lets just say some parents are a little chatty when watching their kids in the park! I really miss our yard in Manitoba, but every time I whine about it, all my neighbors are like "Welcome to Vancouver!!"
This is the View from the end of the deck looking down the back alley! house, after house, after house....My next project is to make it private, without being offensive.
Oh and My contribution??!! I helped load the lumber at Rona, I'm awesome!!!

Everyone here put up those shade decks, i don't know what to call them anyway they plant gardens and the vines grow up and they have pretty flowers on them. I am to lazy to do any thing with ours, but most people have them around here. Good luck it looks great, makes a big difference to just step out back and sit on the swing sipping on lemonade.
Good work on the deck! I bet you are loving that!!
Wow. it's gorgeous! So nice to have a deck right off the back, I am a serious fan of decks, they're great for so many reasons. Yeah, uncle Brett is pretty awesome isn't he.
Your deck is so fun!!! Gary and I have plans to maybe build one in our backyard, but first we have to finish the upstairs bathroom, laundry closet, back porch pantry, master bedroom closet, computer closet, game room, gaping hole in the kitchen... the list never ends so I will just have to live vicariously through your deck.
