Passports & Touristy Things
Everyone arrived on different days and times. Shelby came first late Tuesday Night, and then my Dad came early Wednesday Morning. Shelby is planning on going to the states this summer and is in need of her Passport. So after my Dad arrived they, including Aphra, went with Dale into the city. He dropped them off at the passport office and then they hung around for a few hours until Dale was done.
They did lots of walking, they saw lots including $2400 handbags, which my Dad couldn't get over. They just kinda bummed around, had lunch. They said that everyone was so helpful, including some random stranger that had the bus stop sans no scheduled stop, when he found out they were not locals and heading into a seedy part of town.
And that was Day 1 of Ditch Anne Day.

Wow I wish I could describe to everyone my crazy day in vancity, but it just wouldn't be the same. My favorite part of the day was riding the bus downtown and ending up on the scariest street in the country, Dad was a little worried walking down that street. Shopping was so much fun they had some crazy prices I think the one hang bag we looked at could pay my tuition for one year. eek!! Mostly I think people knew we were tourists because we didn't come equiped with a unbrella and rain jacket. Perhaps a next time we will be more prepared.
