Grandpa & Grandma Taylor

We were super Lucky to have Grandma & Grandpa come for a week! We kept Grandpa busy down working in Aphra's room mudding & Taping the drywall. Now all we(I mean Dale) has to do is a few touch up's, prime & paint!!! Aphra is sooo excited!!! She is still pushing for a lime green room, we'll see.

We kept Grandma busy around the house. We made beet-top buns, which I know are a little on the weird side, but are SUPER YUMMY, especially lathered in cream sauce. We also made cookies, Cinnamon buns, banana muffins, she even had time to make a turkey dinner. We are still enjoying the fruits of her labour. And on top of all that she kept up with the Laundry. We LOVE having Grandma around. On Thursday we took the girls to the mall, we had a "fun" experience with Kezia trying on jeans, but we recovered when we went for lunch.

It was a wonderful week and we were sad to see them leave on Saturday.
I think it is safe to say that our tradition is now beet-top buns. Everyone looks forward to that meal when Grandma comes! last time Grandma came she was appalled that I was going to throw away the beets. I probably shouldn't tell her this but we used to grow beets in the garden, pull off the tops and throw out rows of beets. But Aphra loves the cooked beets, so I am going to have to lean how to cook them. Even for her birthday meal Aphie wanted Beets. I told she had to wait for Grandma T. I love my weird kids.
Thanks for all you did for us this week,
it was fun hanging around with you guys!!!
